Shanghai Social Science Innovative Research Base---Free Trade Pilot Zone Supply Chain Research

The project of “Free Trade Pilot Zone Supply Chain Research” submitted by Shanghai Maritime University has been approved to be established as Shanghai Social Science Innovative Research Base in a governmental notification of “Notification of the addition of Shanghai Social Science Innovative Research Base by Shanghai Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science” in March 2016. The Base of “Free Trade Pilot Zone Supply Chain Research” has been developed to become a research institute that brings together multiple expertise from both in China and abroad, across businesses, disciplines, platforms, research teams. The aim of the Base is to become an international platform of research in FTZ and supply chain fields joined by highly skilled people both in industry and academia as well as a pilot zone for the development of innovative systems. Coordinated cooperation is essential in achieving these goals. The Base is determined to become a new type of university think tank receiving respected reputations throughout the world that provides theoretical and practical support to governmental policy making and implementation processes; a think tank that guides the development of the supply chain industry through helping the reform and transformation of industry enterprises.
